Dear Resident/Business of the Neffs Volunteer Fire District

Even with the economy in a state of uncertainty-- your Fire Department remains committed to providing high quality services through faithful dedication, experience, and trust.

The first decade of the new millenium is coming to a close while many corporations and financial institutions are receiving federal bailouts and tax money to stay alive. The 100% volunteer organization of the Neffs Volunteer Fire Company still stands ready and strong 24-hours a day and 365-days a year.

It is once again that time of the year when the Neffs Volunteer Fire Company is asking for your assistance during our Annual Fund Drive. Each year the residents and businesses of our community donate funds to support our 100% volunteer company. The Fire Department relies on these tax-deductible donations to serve and protect this growing community. With pride and a 67-year old tradition, our membership has served the district with trained volunteers, high quality equipment, and maintains it to the highest of standards. We continue to add and train new Firefighters as well as maintain the day to day operations of the company. New volunteers are always needed and we are always looking forward to anybody who wants to share their time and talents with their community. If you are interested in volunteering, just drop by and let us show you around.

With your support in 2008, we were able to maintain our building, existing fire apparatus, and build reserves for the replacement of equipment as it ages. With the cost of a fully equipped engine being over $400,000, a ladder truck costing approximately $900,000, and outfitting a firefighter with the safe and up-to-date personal protective gear, it is essential that we plan for future replacement. Without the help from our community we cannot plan or continue to provide essential services.

Additionally, our Open House will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2009 from 3-8PM. Please join us for this fun event. The event is free and will include many fire safety and health exhibits, and several demonstrations. It will include many activities for the entire family as well as food, refreshments and prizes. So stop by and visit us!

Thank you,

The Volunteers of the Neffs Volunteer Fire Co.
